I joined Dakshin as a Research Assistant with the Community Wellbeing and Environment programme and the Sea Change initiative after a brief stint with Dakshin’s collaborative project on marine fisheries subsidies, with IISD, Canada. I work on the Livelihoods component of the Sea Change programme, aiming to conduct research on coastal livelihoods, assist with income-support and income-generation projects and work towards livelihood resilience among coastal communities. I am also working with the CSIP-Ashoka University project on institutional and financial support towards marine conservation and related causes in India.

I have previously worked in the Andamans on the Dugong Project with the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and at UNESCO MGIEP, New Delhi on projects related to sustainable development, community engagement and education. I am interested in issues of livelihood security, equity and environmental conservation.
