Profile: Adithya works at Dakshin as a Senior Programme Associate with the Livelihoods sub-programme which aims to conduct research on marine livelihoods, assist with income-support projects and address livelihood issues among coastal communities. He has worked on projects relating to marine fisheries subsidies and institutional and financial support for marine conservation in India. He has also been part of a community needs assessment with coastal communities in Ganjam, Odisha towards initiating the SeaChange programme. At present, he is involved in conducting research and mapping potential income-support interventions for fishing and fishing-allied communities in Ramanathapuram district, Tamil Nadu.

Prior to Dakshin, he has worked in the Andamans on the Dugong Project with the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun and at UNESCO MGIEP, New Delhi on projects related to sustainable development, community engagement and education. He is interested in issues of livelihood security, equity and environmental conservation.
