Profile: Anu Priya is a passionate individual driven by a strong desire to work for disadvantaged communities and a deep interest in social studies. With a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Central University of Kerala and an MA in Development from Azim Premji University, she has honed her knowledge and understanding of social issues.
During her academic journey, Anu Priya actively engaged with grassroots organizations like FTAK, Lok Panchayat, and TYCIA Foundation, allowing her to closely connect with diverse communities and seek sustainable solutions to their challenges. Her experiences nurtured her cultural sensitivity and deepened her appreciation for the aspirations of marginalized communities.
Having held positions as a Qualitative Research Associate at Azim Premji University and a Communications and Outreach Associate at Shreni Samudaya, Anu Priya leveraged her research and communication skills to raise awareness and mobilize support for social causes. Her ability to convey powerful narratives effectively contributed to the success of these initiatives.
Motivated by a newfound interest in ecology and sustainability, Anu Priya joined Dakshin’s communications team. In her current role, she develops and implements impactful communication strategies to drive positive change and promote a deeper understanding of ecological concerns.
