Profile: Swapnil graduated in Social Work from Dr. Ambedkar College of Social Work in Wardha, which provided him with a foundational understanding of communities and their issues. This motivated him to learn the nuances of community problems and the necessary interventions for solutions. He then pursued a postgraduate degree in Public Policy and Governance from TISS, Hyderabad, with a special focus on ‘Social Conflict’.
During his post-graduation, Swapnil gained experiential knowledge while working in Parvatipuram under ITDA. This experience helped him develop a deeper understanding of communities. Following this, Swapnil worked for three years at CARE India, where he directly engaged with stakeholders at the block level to ensure the effective implementation of the School and ICDS schemes and to improve the health and nutrition levels of the communities. This role also required him to travel to various locations daily for monitoring, evaluation, and supportive supervision.
Swapnil has a passion for working in rural areas, and his extensive fieldwork experience has equipped him with strong expertise in rural dynamics and socio-economic status.
